These Terms govern the use of Ovotus, a digital library for reading books and listening to available audio editions. Reading and listening are available online and, for content previously saved on the device, offline, subject to access rights. Purchases providing access to a book’s available PDF, EPUB and MP3 downloads are separate from the subscription.

Registration and use of an Ovotus account are reserved for people aged 18 or older. Minors may not register, even with permission from a parent or legal guardian. By signing up, you declare that you are at least 18, provide accurate information and have the legal capacity required in your country.
False age declarations and attempts to bypass access controls are prohibited. If an account is identified as belonging to a minor, Ovotus may suspend access or close it after review, subject to applicable obligations. In cases of false declarations or attempts to bypass access controls, Ovotus may also take legal action as permitted by law.
Sign-up and password recovery use temporary codes sent to the provided email. You are responsible for your password and account activity.
Sharing, selling, lending or misusing an account, or bypassing access controls and technical limits, is prohibited.
Books are grouped by category. Some titles may only be available in selected countries because of editorial choices, distribution rights or applicable obligations.
An audio edition is offered only when available for the relevant title and language. Availability of a book’s text does not guarantee an audio recording.
Ovotus may correct, update, hide or withdraw a title and may change category or book ordering.
In addition to the declaration made at registration, the 18+ category requires a further confirmation before it opens.
Adult content remains subject to applicable laws and distribution rules.
An active subscription grants reading access to titles and listening access to available audio editions in the catalog for the account and user country. It transfers no ownership rights in the books or audio recordings.
Subscriptions do not renew automatically unless this is clearly stated before payment. When access expires, protected reading and listening, both online and offline, are suspended until reactivation.
Opening a book to read or listen automatically adds it to My Library. It can also be saved without immediately starting to read or listen.
Ovotus may store the page, chapter and reading progress, as well as the listening position and progress, so each can resume. These two kinds of progress are separate. Removing a title from My Library does not erase a separate purchase or a mandatory record.
Offline reading and listening apply only to texts and audio editions previously saved inside Ovotus on the device being used. They do not mean that the entire website or App works without Internet.
Initial preparation requires an Internet connection, an active subscription and sufficient storage space. Text and audio must be saved separately: saving a book’s text does not automatically make its audio edition available offline, or vice versa. Each copy is specific to the device on which it was saved.
An Internet connection remains necessary, in particular, to create an account or sign in, browse or refresh the catalog, add a new book, subscribe or verify a subscription, make a purchase or payment, download an available PDF, EPUB or MP3, synchronize reading and listening progress, receive notifications and install updates.
Protected copies are intended for reading and listening inside Ovotus. Saving them does not constitute the purchase of a PDF, EPUB or MP3 file to transfer or redistribute. Copies may become unavailable when rights expire, after an extended period without reconnecting, after uninstalling the App, clearing App or browser data, or manually removing them. Periodic reconnection may be required to validate rights and receive text and audio updates.
Purchasing a book for download is separate from the subscription. It provides PDF and EPUB files, plus MP3 when an audio edition is available for the title. The price, available formats and download conditions are shown before payment.
After payment confirmation, authorized formats are accessible in My Downloads for the stated period. Each PDF, EPUB or MP3 file is licensed for personal use; resale, public distribution and unlawful sharing are prohibited.
Payments take place in the interface of the provider offered for your country and its availability. Payment method details are entered there and processed under that provider’s rules.
Ovotus does not retain any card details, whether complete or partial: no card number, including masked numbers or last digits, no expiry date and no security code (CVV/CVC). Bank account details and payment authentication codes are not retained either.
To manage your subscription or purchase, Ovotus retains only transaction references and tracking information: provider, payment method, amount, currency, status, dates and associated access rights. The method identifies only the payment type (for example card, PayPal or Mobile Money), when supplied by the provider. Complete provider responses are not archived.
Access or purchase is activated only after reliable provider confirmation, including server verification or webhook. Interrupted transactions are reconciled when confirmation arrives.
A rating must reflect a genuine experience and must not manipulate ranking, harass an author or contain unlawful material.
Ovotus may remove fraudulent ratings or limit the feature to protect catalog integrity.
Texts, covers, illustrations, layouts, audio recordings, narrations, trademarks and files remain protected by the rights of their authors, publishers or other rights holders.
Unauthorized copying, automated extraction, protection removal, redistribution, adaptation or exploitation is prohibited.
Ovotus may restrict an account for fraud, disputed payment, rights infringement, abuse, technical attack or violation of these Terms. Sensitive features may be suspended during review.
Maintenance and network interruptions may occur. Ovotus works to preserve progress and restore access but cannot guarantee permanent availability.
Permanent account deletion is available in Settings and removes associated data from active databases, subject to records required by law, security or transactions.
